Cruise file
A cruise file is the FleetView OS record of a single charter or cruise. It holds the date, vessel, route, guests, skipper, price and payment status in one place, so every trip can be found, invoiced and analysed later.
What goes in a cruise file?
The vessel, the departure and return, the route, the client and number of guests, the skipper and crew, the price, and whether it is Paid, Unpaid or Overdue.
Why keep one per cruise?
With one record per cruise, questions such as which vessel earned most this season, which clients came back, or which payments are outstanding can be answered from the records rather than from memory.
