What this website collects, and what it does not.

This page covers the website at fleetviewmarine.com. It sets no cookies. It counts visits with a cookie-free statistics tool. Last updated 12/10/2026.

Who is responsible

FleetView Marine is the controller of the personal data described on this page.

FleetView Marine, Lisbon, Portugal. Questions go to contact@fleetviewmarine.com.

What is collected, why, and for how long

Three things happen on this website that involve personal data: browsing it, being counted in visitor statistics, and sending an enquiry. Nothing else. There is no account, no newsletter, no database behind the form.

WhenWhatWhy, and on what legal basisHow long
Browsing the siteConnection records kept by Cloudflare: IP address, page requested, browser type, time.Security and keeping the site running. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).By Cloudflare under its own retention. We do not use these records to identify anyone.
Visitor statisticsCloudflare Web Analytics records which page was viewed, the referring site, your country, browser, device type and page load times. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To see how many people visit and which pages work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).Shown to us as aggregate figures in the Cloudflare dashboard. We do not use them to identify anyone.
Sending an enquiryYour name, email address, the company or vessel if you gave one, and your message. To reply to you and, if you go ahead, to prepare your agreement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).In our mailbox for 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted. Deleted sooner if you ask.

You are not obliged to send an enquiry. If you do, we need your name, an email address and a message to answer you; the company or vessel field is optional.

Who handles it for us

Three companies process data on our behalf, under contracts that bind them to the GDPR. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

CompanyWhat it doesWhere the data goes
Cloudflare, Inc.Serves the website, answers the contact form and provides the visitor statistics.A United States company with servers in the European Union. Transfers are covered by its certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
ResendSends the enquiry email to our mailbox.A United States company; our account sends from its European Union region. Transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited)Runs the mailbox that receives enquiries. An Irish company; our mailbox is set to keep data in the European Union.

Two of these are United States companies. Where data can reach the United States, the GDPR requires a safeguard, and the ones above are the safeguards in place. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not send it outside the European Union for any other reason.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own. Its visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) use no cookies and store nothing on your device, and there are no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts, which is why there is no cookie banner. Cloudflare may set one strictly-necessary security cookie to tell people from automated traffic; cookies of that kind need no consent under the law. If this ever changes, this page changes first and a consent request appears before any new cookie is set.

FleetView OS itself

Data you put into FleetView OS as a customer (vessels, documents, cruises, crew, finances) is hosted in the European Union and is covered by the agreement between you and FleetView Marine and its data processing terms, not by this page.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to limit how we use it, object to its use, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to contact@fleetviewmarine.com and we answer within one month. There is no charge.

You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority: Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134, 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, geral@cnpd.pt, cnpd.pt. If you are in another EU country, you may complain to the authority there instead.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to what is collected, or to who handles it, is noted here in plain words.

  • 12/10/2026: added cookie-free visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), with its legal basis and what it records.
  • 24/09/2026: first full version, replacing a shorter page. Added the legal basis for each use, retention periods, the three processors and where data goes.
